    An 'America First' certification shows your organization's people, products, places, sourcing, and taxation are done primarily in America, and that you are creating or keeping American jobs as well as paying wages and taxes that help the local, regional, and national economies.America First
  • What type of Certification can I earn?
    Organizations are graded on a scale of 1 to 100 on whether their people, products, places, sourcing, and taxation is primarily American, and earn an America First Certification by achieving a score of 85 or higher.
  • What are some of the things you look at for Certification?
    We certify companies that create and support sustainable American jobs and contribute to the economic vitality of the nation. Some of the things we grade on include:
    • What percentage of employees are based in the United States
    • Are your physical locations based in the United States
    • Is the company headquartered in the United States, thus paying federal, state and local taxes
    • Does the company produce or make its products in the United States
    • Does the company source all or virtually all of its materials from domestic sources
  • Will an 'America First' certification help me win more business for my company?
    Absolutely, especially in situations where you are competing against a company that is not certified. And we'll give you a second year free if you don't get any new business because of the certification!
  • How do I let clients and prospects know that we are certified?
    You are sent an 'America First' certification seal that you can use on your website, business cards, etc. You also can use our 'America First' certification stickers on your products, packaging, etc.
  • Can't I just put a statement on my website that we are American made?
    You could, but having a certification from an independent third party is more valuable and trustworthy.
  • How much does it cost to earn a certification?
    Price varies according to the number employees and the verification work needed. Please click here for pricing.
  • Are there any pre-requisites for earning an 'America First' certification?
    In order to qualify to receive an 'America First' certification, a business or organization must have been operational in the United States for at least the most recent 12 months, and either make or produce a product or provide a service that is "all or virtually all" made in the United States in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that determine when a product may be advertised as Made in USA.
  • My company provides services and is not a manufacturer. Does a Certification apply for us?
    Yes. An 'America First' certification not only shows your clients and prospects that you are hiring, buying, and paying taxes in America, but can be used as a competitive advantage. For instance, service providers like call centers, accounting firms, and others often outsource portions of their work overseas, so an 'American First' certification can help you compete against and win business from these companies.
  • How long does it take to earn my Certification?
    It usually takes less than five minutes for you to apply, and less than 30 days for us verify, then send, your certification seal.
  • What if I grow significantly? Do we need to pay a higher fee?
    Pricing is fixed for the year for which you are certified, so there are no additional costs if you add lots of employees and locations.
  • Do I have to renew my certification each year?
    Certifications are issued for one-year periods and must be renewed each year. We do offer a discount for those organizations that have no changes to their qualifying information from the prior year. Those organizations that do add or subtract employees or locations each year are required to update applicable information to re-certify.
  • Are there programs available that help certified partners work with one another?
    Yes. We have a Directory that will launch on July 4th. The directory not only provides info about your organization, but can be used as a sourcing tool for prospects to find you, and is linked back to your site to take orders!
  • Is your company politically affiliated?
    No, we are an independent organization that believes in a strong America.
